(Taken from our 2009 Pre-Hunt:)
2009 update: We have active bear hunting baits being hit on a daily basis.
We have other baits set up near large berry patches. We are not going to start baiting those stations until the berries are out. We don't want small bears coming in and ruining the berry patches. The secret is to wait for the big males to smell ripe berries and feed on them and then use baits to keep them there.
We set up a trail-cam on one of the active baits and we took a picture of a large bear. This is a very large bear. For size perspective, the second picture shows how big the bear is when you consider his size up against a regular size garbage bag and a 5-gallion bail. This bear is over 400 pounds.
Please contact us if you want to get in on the thrill of the hunt. We accept bookings year-round. Back to the main bear hunting page
